Io credo...

Voglio dire una cosa ovvia, tutt'al più non la leggete. La cosa si chiama: credere o non credere in Dio.

Svolgimento.
Sul pianeta Terra e nell'universo visibili, sia infinitamente piccolo, sia infinitamente grande, non c'è traccia pratica, scientifica, concreta, di Dio.
Bisogna dire che questa - nel caso Dio esista - è una gran furbata da parte Sua.
L'opposto di questa furbata (cioè, lasciare anche una pur minima traccia anche piccolissima, anche infinitesimale, ma comunque dimostrabile e quindi traccia certa), avrebbe rivelato incontrovertibilmente l'esistenza di Dio e, quindi, salterebbe tutto il discorso della religione - o, meglio, delle religioni - e salterebbe il discorso del libero arbitrio, della libertà di credere o non credere in Dio.
Se esistesse questa traccia saremmo costretti a dire: "Dio esiste ed è un fatto inopinabile. Per chiunque. Scientifico, dimostrato e dimostrabile, pratico. Punto".
Saremmo costretti. Una cosa davvero terribile perché dovremmo avere una mentalità diversa per accettare un fatto simile o, quantomeno, essere angeli o qualcosa del genere.

Restando ancora un momento nell'ipotesi che Dio esista, diciamo che Dio è stato talmente saggio - creando questa specie umana - da dargli questa mentalità, ma fare anche in modo che possa essere l'uomo stesso a scegliere in modo autonomo e personale se credere in Lui o no, proprio non interferendo in alcun modo (orribile il tentativo di dimostrare l'esistenza di Dio proponendo immagini di perfezioni universali e complessità impensabili: oltre ad andare contro il concetto di libero arbitrio, si sa che questi argomenti sono pane per gli allocchi).
In effetti, chiunque può dire: "Gesù è il Figlio di Dio", ma chiunque altro può dire "Gesù era un uomo con poteri straordinari, e Dio non esiste". Proprio perché se l'esistenza di Gesù dimostrasse inconfutabilmente l'esistenza di Dio, vorrebbe dire che Dio ha deciso che chiunque dei Suoi figli terrestri debba conoscere senza dubbi la Sua esistenza. Ma così, lo sappiamo, non è.
Non lo è perché ci sono persone - ancora oggi - che nascono, vivono e muoiono senza la minima conoscenza del nostro Dio e di Gesù.
E non lo è perché persone che hanno studiato l'argomento sono ancora liberissime di non credere che Dio esista, e di credere che Gesù fosse solo un buon, saggio "Silvan" dell'epoca.

Se invece vogliamo credere che Dio non esista, quindi, siamo liberi di farlo.

Libertà.

Ecco perché dico che credere è una cretinata: cretinata nel senso che deve, sostanzialmente, essere una scelta pura, come puro è l'uomo al quale è indirizzata la scelta. Infatti, la scelta di credere non deve essere solo prerogativa di intelligenti o colti: deve essere una scelta "di cuore" e non di testa o per studi.

Il fatto interessante è che la presenza di Gesù (anche qui, che esista o meno, è il messaggio "in sé" che conta) dà alla religione cristiana una forza supplementare  rispetto alle altre religioni.
Il problema, è che Gesù deve possedere, anche Lui, la caratteristica di non-prova dell'esistenza di Dio, altrimenti ricadremmo nel bisticcio sopra descritto.
Ed ecco perché dico che Gesù rafforza chi crede ma non necessariamente converte il non credente (soprattutto se la Sua immagine è insistentemente sbandierata).
Oltretutto, dire a un non credente che andrà all'inferno o che va contro i dettami di Dio è la cosa che più lo allontanerà ragionevolmente da Dio o che, peggio, lo avvicinerà per scaramanzia, prudenza o superstizione: brutte cose.

Piuttosto, è il messaggio evangelico che può dare un supporto alla scelta. Ecco perché Gesù ordina di divulgarlo: una sorta di propaganda. Niente di male: molto "umano" e per nulla probatorio riguardo l'esistenza di Dio. Perfetto: "Credici!" esclama. Ma non ti dice "Ora ti dimostro che Dio esiste...".

Chiosa: nessuno al mondo può dimostrare l'esistenza di Dio. Ma chiunque può fare la scelta, libera, intima e personalissima, di credere in Lui o meno; senza distinzioni d'intelligenza e di cultura.

Un bell'affare. Siamo soli. Con noi stessi. Con il nostro cuore e le nostre scelte.
Facciamocene una ragione. Questo è il nostro potere, e questa è la Potenza di Dio (la volta che scegli che esista...).

PS: per il momento la religione è l'unico appoggio che abbiamo per fare un ulteriore saltello verso Dio. Rendiamoci solo conto che di fronte alla Sua quota, rimarrà solo un saltello, forse un pochino più alto, ma sempre, solo, un misero saltello rispetto all'infinito. Meglio di niente.
Verranno i tempi del "Terzo Testamento"? Beh, anche qui: solo se vorremo.
E, in quest'ottica, c'è chi si ferma alla base d'appoggio della religione canonica proclamando che è sufficiente per tutto (anche se - giustamente! - non è così), chi invece tenta di costruire una base diversa. Tutti ci rendiamo conto che di fronte all'infinito, forse, sia fatica inutile. Ma, in effetti, l'importante non è edificare una base più elevata per avvicinare il singolo un po' più a Dio: l'importante è edificare una base più vasta. In modo da accogliere più persone che possano fare la scelta: amare Dio e amare il prossimo come se stessi.

Caro Carnefice,

ben prima che tu scrivessi questo post io ho scritto cose come le seguenti (per te dovrebbe trattarsi di una rilettura).

1) [...] Eppure io penso che, malgrado tutto, la possibilità di credere nella divinità del Cristo non ne esca del tutto inficiata. Gesù (o come egli si chiamava) era un uomo del suo tempo, un ebreo cresciuto tra ebrei che vedeva il suo popolo sottomesso al duro giogo romano. Si è circondato di ribelli nazionalisti (cioè la gente che aveva attorno a sé e in mezzo a cui, come tutto lascia supporre, era cresciuto), i quali ne hanno probabilmente combinate, durante la loro vita, di cotte e di crude. Ma questo ha, ripeto, una motivazione storica. E non deve scandalizzarci troppo. Anzi, forse non ci deve scandalizzare affatto. Basti pensare a certi sacerdoti che, in Centro e Sud America, sono stati obbligati (e accade ancora adesso) a solidarizzare non solo con i poveri e i derelitti ma con guerriglieri e gente violenta (magari non per indole ma perché indotta dalle circostanze a esserlo) pur di fronteggiare sanguinosi regimi dittatoriali e pur di provare a stabilire un minimo di giustizia sociale. Sacerdoti che per questa causa hanno anche dato (e danno) la vita, come il colombiano Camilo Torres, ucciso nel 1966, in seguito a una delazione, da alcuni soldati dell’esercito del suo Paese. Gli avversari della Teologia della Liberazione (così denominata, nel 1973, dal sacerdote peruviano Gustavo Gutierrez) certamente storceranno il naso, ma al di là di qualunque valutazione di merito su questa corrente di pensiero cattolica, non vi sono dubbi che i preti in prima linea, talora veri e propri preti combattenti, vivano una realtà assai più vicina a quella che visse Cristo di quanto non faccia un cortesissimo e pacifico sacerdote dei Parioli. Se si è nel mondo non ci si può non sporcare le mani con il mondo. Gesù ci si è sporcato le mani, è stato davvero e fino in fondo umano, ha vissuto sino alle estreme conseguenze l’esperienza dell’essere uomo. A me pare che in questo non vi sia contraddizione alcuna con l’idea cristiana del dio-uomo. La contraddizione, semmai, sta nel proporre la vicenda di Cristo come astorica, come un’improbabile e talora ridicola fiaba fuori dal tempo: basti pensare che i Vangeli ci parlano della Palestina della prima metà del I secolo senza mai riferire che in quella terra era in corso una spietata guerra tra i romani e i movimenti messianisti; è come se io, oggi, raccontassi l’Iraq senza dire che vi si sta svolgendo un conflitto tra gli Usa - con i loro alleati - e vari gruppi indipendentisti religiosi. Al di là di tutto, la venuta sulla Terra di Cristo, qualunque fosse il suo vero nome e chiunque fossero i suoi genitori, è stata determinante affinché, di lì a poco, facessero la loro comparsa i princìpi più “divini” (per quanto essi contrastano con i tratti basilari dall’umana natura), più sconvolgenti e più rivoluzionari della Storia. I princìpi del perdono, del porgi l’altra guancia, dell’ama il tuo nemico. Evidentemente, affinché sorgessero, c’era bisogno che venisse al mondo un aspirante re dei giudei, amico e guida di rivoluzionari armati e in conflitto contro l’invasore del suo Paese. Chi può dire che dietro tutto ciò non vi sia un disegno divino (l’opera dello Spirito Santo, per un cristiano)? Chi può dire che questo non fosse l’unico modo attraverso cui, senza violentare le caratteristiche del mondo da lui stesso creato, era possibile a Dio far comprendere cosa sia il vero bene e diffondere insegnamenti meravigliosi e così poco umani da non venire mai davvero applicati sino in fondo, se non da qualche santo o santa? Se Dio avesse mandato un superman sarebbe stato tutto troppo semplice. Sarebbe stato tutto troppo poco umano. E questo mondo avrebbe smesso di essere il mondo che conosciamo. Sarebbe stato irrimediabilmente snaturato, sarebbe stato privato della libertà di scegliere se credere o non credere: chi mai, infatti, avrebbe potuto non credere in un superuomo? Chi mai si sarebbe potuto liberamente esimere dall’adorarlo? È evidente che la persona finita in croce negli anni ’30 del I secolo e che noi conosciamo come Cristo abbia fatto, e soprattutto detto, cose eccezionali e particolarissime. Altrimenti non avrebbe dato origine con la sua predicazione a un “lieto annunzio” che poi altri hanno messo per iscritto e altri ancora, certamente, hanno riformulato e precisato. Ma nel momento in cui si accetta che Gesù è stato davvero e in tutto e per tutto un uomo, che davvero è intervenuto da uomo nella nostra Storia, ciò che ci si deve attendere è che per l’appunto come un “uomo fra gli uomini” si sia comportato. Non come un dio.

2) [...] Sogno che chi avverta una tensione spirituale la coltivi nella consapevolezza che le religioni possono essere strumenti per affinare e coltivare quella spiritualità ma che, al tempo stesso, sono solo "parti del tutto" e che nessuna di esse è la verità assoluta. Desidero un essere umano che sia conscio della pericolosità del concetto di verità assoluta, e che comprenda come il dichiarare sé stesse verità assoluta, da parte delle religioni, non è che il riflesso millenario della naturale faziosità dell'uomo.

secondo me si dovrebbe pensare meno alla pesantezza divina che rende lentamente ma inesorabilmente privi di desideri e lasciarsi andare ai sensi e alla passione della carne e del feticcio di se... liquidi lascivi in luogo dei pensieri casti...

Comunque, non ti preoccupare, qui non è una questione di castità: io pranzo col Diavolo e ceno con Dio (è più rilassato, a quell'ora).

Oddio, chi può dirlo? E comunque non mi par giusto accomunare le tre categorie. Omosessualità, impotenza, frustrazione: sono tre cose differenti. Magari a volte in relazione fra loro (specie la seconda e la terza) ma non necessariamente.

Hans, la categorizzazione (si dice così?) era: femminucce, gay, impotenti o frustrati, in antitesi all'uomo sano di mente.
Certo, mancherebbero altre categorie - non femminili - all'appello, tipo: dementi, Vigili urbani (quasi tutti), Bondi...

E ci cosa parleremmo noi se si avesse la prova dell'esistenza di Dio? Non oso pensarlo, anzi credo che non ci sarebbe nemmeno la necessità di pensare, anzi, non ci sarebbe nemmeno la necessità di vivere, anzi... vabbè lasciamo perdere... ma è un mistero troppo bello l'esistenza di Dio.

dark44, saremmo angeli, ovviamente. Ma la cosa interessante è la l'assenza materiale di Dio. Ora, a me non interessa minimamente l'esistenza di Dio: m'interessa la nostra spiritualità.

caro Asara, la storia ci insegna (purtroppo o per fortuna):

i miracoli cattolici ai cattolici, quelli mussulmani all'islam, quell indu' agli indu' e bla bla bla....

O Dio non e' unico oppure e' unico ma con un gran senso dello humor.
Oppure..... ce lo siamo inventati, lo abbiamo visto e ci abbiamo creduto (certamente ciascuno secondo i propri gusti e ... tradizioni)
